"Year Of Motion" is Riva's second release, out in September 2005. With
a refreshed calm head, Riva returns with a custom made sound and new defined purpose. In a world of records made on computers, Riva looked for inspiration towards the early 1970's, rebuilt the studio with discrete transistor recording electronics from the era and re-corded a record on tape in a linear fashion the way Led Zeppelin or the Rolling Stones would have done back in the day. "Year Of Motion" is a %100 analog, %100 discrete transistor, %100 linear recording with no pitch correction on vocals (or anything else), no editing of any kind, and all one take rhythm track performances.
"The Dig" first released in 2003 was Riva's first official release. Recorded while Glide On Fade was under construction, the band fought against the mayhem of building a studio to pause and make a great record. "The Dig" started as another band project, but finished as the realization of Filyaw, Peterins and Raphael as a
solo unit.
